GuardMAT 2

The GuardMAT 2 is a rope protector used to protect equipment. This version has a foam core inside, which makes the mat much lighter and easier to handle.

Surface Orientation
• White Side (HMPE): Made to protect against sharp edges and rough surfaces. The white side must always face the structure.
• Black Side (Coated Meta-Aramid): Made to resist heat, friction, and sparks. The black side must always face the moving rope.

Loop Functions
• Positioning Loops (4x): Used to easily place the mat. These loops are strong and can carry weight across both the length and the width of the mat.
• Leg Loops (2x): Located on both sides of the mat for easier handling. They give a convenient place to step when moving over an edge.
• Perimeter Loops (4x): These four loops on the edges are used to wrap the mat around structures and hold it in place. They can also be used to connect a rope guide.
• Central Multi-Colored Loops: These loops hold tools, and the mat can be rolled up with the tools still attached. Alternatively, a carabiner can be clipped here to keep the rope in the center so it does not slide from side to side.
