GuardMAT

GuardMAT is a universal rope and anchor point protector from Texora, designed for use across a wide range of working-at-height applications.

The mat (50 x 90 cm) is constructed from three specialist materials working together. The back face — the surface that contacts abrasive or sharp surfaces — is made from HMPE, chosen for its exceptional abrasion resistance. The top face, which contacts ropes and lanyards, uses a Meta/Para aramide mixed yarn with a polyurethane dotted coating, providing heat resistance, spark resistance, and fire resistance against the friction generated when ropes slide across the surface. A 3mm thick internal polyester webbing layer adds puncture protection throughout.

Four corner loops allow the GuardMAT to be positioned securely in any orientation, including over cornices and roof edges. A built-in leg loop means it can be used at the edge of a structure without requiring a separate leg loop attachment. Six additional side loops and two rows of central loops allow ropes to be secured to the mat, preventing them from slipping off during use.

When not deployed, the GuardMAT rolls up compactly and can be used as a portable equipment carrier, securing tools and devices to it before rolling and stowing in a bag.
